Wedding Music Samples
This page is intended to be used in conjunction with the Wedding Music Planner questionnaire and allows you to listen to samples of each of the music choices presented there.
Please note, music chosen for your wedding should reflect the sacred occasion. Thus, music in the following categories should not be used: a) Music that is purely secular or popular in nature, b) Songs that do not have a clear affiliation to prayer/liturgy. In the case of music being requested that is not on our list, the final decision as to the appropriateness of the piece of music will belong to the music director in agreement with the pastor of ICSJ Parish.
Regarding the music of David Haas: Due to extensive allegations against composer David Haas, ICSJ Music Ministry no longer uses his music. Following the compassionate lead of Jesus, we stand with survivors and protect their right to peace, and strive to prevent further trauma, particularly in a public setting such as Sunday Mass or celebration of the Sacraments. Reports covering a 25 year period of sexual abuse, harassment, and spiritual manipulation have been taken seriously by IntoAccount.org, SNAP, the NY Times, all publishers of his music -- and, consequently our ICSJ parish. We thank you for your consideration in light of this troubling situation, and for your support as we move musically in the direction of joy and hope.
